Kurula’s Resort stands on the shore of Lake Pyhäjärvi, with Pyhätunturi fell rising behind it and Pyhä-Luosto National Park — the oldest national park in Finland — right at its door. Opened in 2023 and set within a hundred hectares of its own forest, it was built to blend into the landscape: dark timber, tall windows and views of the lake and the fells from every suite.
We have styled a wedding dinner here, with long tables, white florals and candlelight in the restaurant, where glass walls open onto the pine forest and a fire glows in the corner. With seventeen suites, each with its own sauna, your guests stay together for the whole weekend — and the evening can end at Lohkare, the internationally celebrated lakeside sauna inspired by Luosto amethyst.

Destination weddings and wedding weekends, intimate ceremonies, elopements, vow renewals, proposals and private celebrations. Your guests stay together on site, and we plan, design and coordinate the whole weekend — from the ceremony to the last sauna.
Seasons & availability
Beautiful all year round: snowy fells and the northern lights in winter, the midnight sun over the lake in summer, and the fells glowing with autumn colours in September. Weddings and celebrations can be arranged in every season.
Ceremony locations
Outdoors on the lakeshore, with Lake Pyhäjärvi and the fells as the backdrop, or in the snowy forest of the resort’s own grounds. If the weather turns, indoors in the restaurant with the forest beyond the glass.
Reception & dining
A wedding dinner in the resort’s restaurant, which serves local northern cuisine in a contemporary style, with tall windows onto the pine forest and a fireplace glowing in the corner. We style the tables with linens, florals and candlelight around you and the setting, and confirm the best arrangement for your guest count with the resort.
Staying the night
Yes — 17 Premium suites with views of the lake and the fells. Each has its own sauna, bathroom, open kitchen, lounge and a deck or balcony, with a queen bed in the main room and a second in a separate bedroom; family suites are available too. Breakfast is served as a buffet.
Extras & experiences
Lohkare, the lakeside sauna known internationally for its design, an outdoor jacuzzi, swimming and ice dipping all year round, husky safaris, reindeer farm visits, snowmobiling, guided fell walks, northern lights hunts, and skiing and hiking at Pyhä just next door.
Good to know
The resort is at Pyhä, under two hours from Rovaniemi Airport, and we arrange transfers for you and your guests. It is heated with geothermal energy drawn from the lake, and we coordinate every detail directly with the resort team.
