The setting
You don't need a huge venue, just the right one
Silver Birch sits on its own five-hectare peninsula on the shores of Lake Jyrhämäjärvi, with water on three sides and birch forest all around. There are no neighbours and no passing traffic — just the lake, the trees and the people you love most. It is the venue we suggest to couples who want their wedding to feel private, close to nature and effortlessly luxurious.
Five glass-fronted cabins face the lake, so from bed you see only water and sky. Vows are said by the lake on the resort’s own pier or inside the lakeside restaurant, which then becomes your private dining room for the evening. In summer the light never quite leaves; in winter the frozen lake turns into a wide white stage for photographs under the northern lights.
As your wedding planners, we take care of everything around the venue: we book the resort, choose the menu with the chef, source every supplier, design the décor and coordinate the whole day on site — so you simply arrive and celebrate. We have planned and styled weddings, proposals and romantic surprises at Silver Birch, and we work hand in hand with the resort team.

What is possible here, when, and how the day can flow — gathered from our own weddings at the venue and from the venue team.
What is possible
Intimate weddings and elopements, proposals, vow renewals, family gatherings, private celebrations and business events. Couples can book Silver Birch simply as a wedding venue, or reserve the entire resort so the celebration is completely their own. There is no fixed package: we plan, design and coordinate the whole day around your wishes.
Seasons & availability
Weddings are possible from January to April and from June to December. During the winter season, from December to March, there is a minimum stay of two nights.
Ceremony locations
Outdoors by the lake on the resort’s own pier, or indoors in the restaurant with the lake behind you. In winter, the frozen lake is a breathtaking setting for proposals and photographs.
Reception & dining
A private reception in the newly opened lakeside restaurant, seating up to 36 guests at the same time. The chef cooks with fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, and there are three ways to dine: a four-course served dinner (€60 per guest) — for example sugar-salted zander, root-vegetable soup, lightly smoked reindeer and cloudberry crème brûlée; a buffet dinner (from €43 per guest) with reindeer, beef brisket and Lapland potatoes; or a cocktail reception with canapés (€28 per guest). We choose the menu with the chef and style the tables with linens, florals and candlelight in one considered palette.
Staying the night
Yes — five cabins, each sleeping two adults or two adults and one child. With the whole resort reserved, your closest circle stays on site, and more accommodation is a short drive away in Rovaniemi.
Extras & experiences
A lakeside sauna, ice swimming for the brave, the northern lights from late August to April and midnight-sun canoeing in summer. As your planners, we arrange the styling, flowers, photographer, music, officiant and transport around the day.
Good to know
Venue hire starts from €799 until midnight, and each extra hour after midnight from €99. A staff service fee (from €219) and a cleaning fee (from €119) are added to the venue hire. The resort is about 20 km from Rovaniemi and around 30 minutes from the airport, which makes it easy for destination guests.
