Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos
Finland’s only full-size snow and ice hotel, built by hand every winter on the shore of Lake Lehtojärvi. Its Ice Chapel is one of the most breathtaking ceremony rooms in the North — and it exists for a single season.

The setting
A chapel of snow, ice and candlelight
Every December the Ice Chapel is carved by hand from snow and crystal-clear ice, and every spring it melts back into the lake. Candlelight glows through the frozen walls, reindeer hides line the benches and a long aisle leads you towards an altar of ice. It is a room that exists for one winter only, which is exactly what makes a wedding here feel so rare.
Around the chapel, the whole resort becomes part of your day: dinner by the open fire in the kota, a toast in an ice glass at the Ice Bar, a snow sauna, and a night in a glass igloo watching the sky for the northern lights from your bed. Most couples say their vows in the chapel, warm up over a long dinner and end the evening under the aurora.
What we design here
Styled for this place
Ice Chapel ceremonies
Florals that hold in the cold, candle trails along the aisle, hides for the guests and a palette that glows against white and blue-lit ice.
Proposals
A private moment in the chapel before or after opening hours, or a candle-lit setting on the frozen lake outside, with a warm igloo waiting.
Dinners
Table styling in the kota, the Log Restaurant or the Ice Restaurant, from an intimate table for two to a celebration for your closest guests.
Venue details
Everything you need to know
What is possible here, when, and how the day can flow — gathered from our own weddings at the venue and from the venue team.
What is possible
Official weddings, symbolic ceremonies and vow renewals, elopements for two, proposals and intimate celebrations. We design and style the whole day around the Ice Chapel, from the first flowers on the aisle to the final toast.
Seasons & availability
Ice Chapel ceremonies are possible from 15 December to 31 March, while the snow hotel stands. The glass igloos are open from September to the end of March, so autumn proposals and celebrations under the first northern lights are possible too.
Ceremony locations
The Ice Chapel, with seating for around 30–50 guests and standing room at the back. For smaller moments, a candle-lit setting on the frozen lake or in the snowy forest around the resort.
Reception & dining
Three very different rooms to choose from: the Ice Restaurant, carved entirely from ice; the warm Kota Restaurant around an open fire; and the traditional Log Restaurant. We style the tables for each, from a dinner for two to a celebration for your closest guests.
Staying the night
Yes — in the snow hotel’s suites and superior rooms, or in heated glass igloos with a 360° view of the sky. Accommodation packages can be arranged for your wedding guests as well.
Extras & experiences
Reindeer sleigh rides, the snow sauna, a private outdoor jacuzzi, ice sculpting, the Ice Bar and the Sky Bar, which also makes a beautiful getting-ready room. We coordinate the officiant, flowers, hair and make-up, photographer, music and cake around the day.
Good to know
The chapel stays at around 0 to −5 °C, so the ceremony is short and guests dress warmly — we brief every couple on layers and timing. Arctic SnowHotel is a long-standing partner, and we coordinate directly with their team on access, timing and setup.
